He was born in Sultanganj while he served the land of Champaran (Motihari) making that place as his workplace (karmasthal). He held various positions of reader/ head of department of economics, M.S. College and principal of JN Memorial college, Ghorasahan. He has been one of the longest-serving journalists, whose career in journalism has spread over five decades. ==Early life and education== Prasad was born at Rampurdih on 20 November 1924. He graduated from TNB college, bhagalpur and completed post graduation in economics from Patna University. He became a key editing member of Janta Press and Janta Saptahik under leadership of great author in Hindi.
